Just hours after airing two of its biggest finales in both 'Arrow' and 'Supernatural,' The CW has joined the Upfront ranks to introduce some major changes into its fall lineup. No longer paired together are 'Arrow' and 'Supernatural,' as the latter moves to Tuesdays to help launch 'Vampire Diaries' spinoff 'The Originals,' while 'Nikita's' confirmed final season will be held to 2014. The hits just keep on coming! After NBC announced that it would renew five of its major series for additional 22-episode seasons, now The CW has followed suit with a few pickups of their own. Not only will 'The Vampire Diaries' spin-off 'The Originals' officially go to series, but freshman drama 'Beauty and the Beast' and Rachel Bilson's 'Hart of Dixie' will return for additional seasons as well!

Earlier today, news broke that NBC could be next in line to issue early renewals to the series of its current line-up, with plenty of shows on the bubble for cancellation. CBS and FOX have already issued mayor renewals, along with The CW's pickups for 'Arrow,' 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Supernatural,' but what other CW series are on the chopping block? And which might get truncated final season orders bolstered by online sales?

The classic Walt Disney animated films have become ripe fodder for big budget live action remakes. They've already updated 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' twice, they've filmed a new version of 'Sleeping Beauty' ('Maleficent'), and are working on a re-imaging of 'Cinderella.' But they're far from done mining these classics, as Disney is now looking to do a new gritty version of 'Beauty and the Beast,' called 'The Beast.'

One of my favorite Disney productions "Beauty and the Beast" will be coming to the Paramount Theatre this weekend. However, there is a little twist. The production is done by a junior cast, meaning there are no adult actors; only kids. The age range of the actors is from 8-14 years old and the production has been edited and scaled down.

We've reached that crucial time of the year in which networks evaluate how freshman series perform, and make decisions on how to go forward. FOX in particular has been fairly generous with its series, awarding additional episodes to 'The Mindy Project' and scripts for 'Ben and Kate,' but now we've learned that 'New Girl' and 'Raising Hope' will also get additional episodes!
