There are three things you have to know in order to be a good Assassin: how to tell who your enemies are, how to throw a dagger, and how to jump off of things. In this new clip from Assassin’s Creed, Michael Fassbender’s Callum Lynch/Aguilar knows his enemy (it’s easy to tell when they’re aiming a crossbow at you), throws a ton of daggers with deadly accuracy, and takes one death-defying leap of faith.

Michael Fassbender has a lot to learn about assassin-ing for Assassin’s Creed, and a recent clip introducing the new Animus didn’t make his prospects look very promising. But today’s new clip shows a much more capable Callum Lynch/Aguilar, who is a lot more confident in his physics-defying parkour skills.

In order to become an assassin, you have to train. Or, alternatively, you can have your mind uploaded to a machine that tosses it back in time into the body of your Templar-fighting ancestor. That works too. In the trailers for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed, we’ve watched Michael Fassbender’s Callum Lynch jump from roof to roof and leap off of very tall buildings, but before he gets there, he’s got to learn what the Animus is. Marion Cotillard offers him a much too short explanation in this new clip from the movie.

We learned earlier this year that ‘Assassin’s Creed’ would take place in the present more than the past, and the latest trailer gives a better look at that ratio.

In an interview not long ago, Michael Fassbender promised that the Assassin’s Creed movie would feature some practical stunts, which seemed a bit hard to believe given the increasingly CGI-driven nature of film — not to mention how crazy dangerous it would be to pull off some of the physical tricks depicted in the video game series. But it looks like director Justin Kurzel is delivering on that promise, as evidenced by this awesome behind-the-scenes video, in which a stuntman takes a 125-foot “leap of faith.” 125 feet. That’s beyond impressive.

It feels like Michael Fassbender has been attached to an Assassin’s Creed movie for years, to the point where we began to wonder whether this movie would ever actually exist (it at one point was scheduled to open in theaters three months ago)...

Fox has begun slot-calling their summer schedule for the next two years, which makes them conservative compared to Marvel and Sony. 'Independence Day 2' has officially been dated for July 3, 2015, among other changes and updates to their schedule.

Although you can usually write off most video game adaptations, 'Assassin's Creed' feels like it could finally break the mold. After all, an acclaimed actor like Michael Fassbender doesn't sign onto any old piece of junk -- there must be something special about this project. And it looks like it's officially scheduled to arrive in the summer of 2015.

The worlds of Ghost Recon Online and Assassin's Creed are temporarily crossing paths, as Ubisoft announced a special promotion to celebrate the upcoming Assassin's Creed III DLC pack The Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy.

New Regency and Ubisoft are thinking outside the box, as they have decided not to hire an established screenwriter to pen the big screen adaptation of Assassin's Creed. British scribe Michael Lesslie, playwright of Prince of Denmark, will write the screenplay.
