This months Center for Contemporary Arts 'ArtWalk' is themed 'For the Love of Movies' and promises to fill the air with romance. Burgess Thomas, Marketing Curator for the Center says "Valentine's Day ArtWalk will incorporate the Abilene Community Theater plus we're putting love and movies together here."  Bring the family to the historic downtown area of Abilene where restaurants, shops, museums, galleries and entertainment are waiting for you, or make it a date night since it's on Valentine's Day. Art-Walk enters into uncharted territory on September 13th, when the Center for Contemporary Arts (a non-profit themselves) raises money and awareness for another non-profit, the Abilene Alzheimer's Association. Among the usual art displays, activities, sights and events that take place during Art-Walk, on September 13th Art-Walk will seem more like "Carnival" in Rio de Janeiro. Music, fun and games will fill the air and the streets of downtown Abilene. Plus live entertainment from a very popular local band.

Get ready for Cajun Fest this Thursday April 12th during Art Walk in downtown Abilene. Everything gets Started at 5pm and will go until 8 pm. The big fundraiser during this art-walk is the Cajun festival that will take place, complete with a craw-fish dinner and all the fixings. If you want to go, you'll have to get a ticket and get there early.

Due to bad weather, the Center for Contemporary Arts and event organizers have cancelled Car walk for tonight. Car Walk will be rescheduled in July
 
Art Walk happens every second Thursday of the month, however Car Walk is only once a year. Car-Walk will be from 5pm till 8pm in downtown Abilene, most of the action will take place in front of the Center for Contemporary Arts at 220 Cypress.
