The first time I ever flew on a Southwest airlines flight I was very surprised at the announcements the flight attendants gave prior to take off. We were told that due to the one and a half hour flight no food would be served and that eating fellow passengers was prohibited because it has become difficult disposing on their remains. Humor made the flight more bearable. Some airlines might resort to humor but the Finnair crew decided to treat all their passengers to a special India Republic Day dance.

Recently I had to make airline reservations to go see my son graduate from the Navy. Have you priced airline tickets lately? What is with these baggage fees? Is my suitcase getting a seat of it's own? Is this price for first class? The airlines have gone nuts with all they charge, so I tried Southwest, amazingly they were more reasonable than the other airlines and they don't charge extra for bags. The lower airfare had me investigating as to why they are cheaper. As my investigation started I ran across this awesome video on how Southwest airplanes are made, and I wanted to share it with you.
