Sundance Head showcased his love of bluegrass and soul music Monday night (Nov. 28) with his cover of Tom T. Hall's "Me and Jesus." The three-minute performance was part gospel choir, part soul revival with plenty of country and Americana influence.

Beginning the song alone on a stage transformed to portray a church, Sundance Head had his trusty guitar in hand before additional banjo and fiddle accompaniment were heard. Mid-song his backup singers and instrumentalists walked down the altar stairs to join the hopeful center-stage, where they transformed the song to a spirited church choir.

Sundance Head has made it to the Top 10 on The Voice and he isn't ready to go home anytime soon. While his performance of "Me and Jesus" is currently sitting atop the iTunes charts, he is urging viewers to vote for him to stay on the reality singing competition.

"Please make sure that you go and vote for me," he asks fans in a video message posted to Twitter. "I know we're kicking major sales but I'm not sure that goes to votes. I sure don't want to go home. I got a lot of work left here to do. I cannot believe this, man. All I have to say is thank you very much."

Coach Blake Shelton has shared his support for the singer on his personal Twitter account, as well, writing: "You think people have lost their faith? Wrong.. Congrats @sundancehead.. #1 song in the land.."

Sundance Head's most notable The Voice performances include a cover of Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" and Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color."
