Students Invent a Robot That Swims and Acts like a Real Fish

We've all seen robots of some kind or another, but have you ever seen a "fish" robot? Me neither and when I saw this video I thought how awesome this will be to have a robot fish to take with me next time I go scuba diving. Then I got to thinking of all the endless possibilities of having a robotic companion under water.

I love to scuba, but a lot of times my dive buddy can't keep up with me or me with him. However a robot fish could keep up with both of our air supplies and more. Having a Robot Fish as an additional dive buddy would be great. What if you lose a wedding ring in the lake, Robot Fish with a camera or metal detector could help find it. The possibilities are endless.

Student Pascal Buholzer and others from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology invented Robot Fish they call Sepios. The underwater robot is able to swim like a cuttle-fish and overcome any obstacles in its way.
