Star Wars: The Old Republic Teases New Update
BioWare has let loose some info about the upcoming Game Update 1.7: Return of the Gree for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Level 50 players will be able to help out the Gree, a race of cephalopods, on their continued search for knowledge. They’ll also have access to the new Galactic Reputation system, which offers a new avenue of character progression.
One of the highlights of the update is a recurring event called Relics of the Gree, in which players will explore the planet Ilum’s frozen Western Ice Shelf to find out the secrets of an ancient Gree starship called the Gray Secant. Players will be able to earn new gear based on Gree technology as rewards, but first they have to down the boss in the center of the Secant.
The new Galactic Reputation system lets players advance through six ranks, which are Outsider, Newcomer, Friend, Hero, Champion, and Legend. Players can gain ranks with different factions in the game and each character’s reputation is tied to their Legacy, which is spread across all characters in an account.
