'Star Wars Episode 7' will bring back original franchise cast members like Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, but we may have learned which new actor will be joining them in the most anticipated film in years. Drumroll, please...are 'Star Wars' fans ready to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers join the saga?

The scoop comes from Latino Review, who were also the first to report that Ford would be returning as Han Solo in the new trilogy. Details are scarce, but they say that Rhys Meyers is currently in talks to join the highly anticipated film. So do yourself a favor and prepare that grain of salt in case it's a rumor and don't get too attached in case talks break down and he doesn't sign on the dotted line.

However, it all makes sense. Rhys Meyers and director JJ Abrams have previously worked together on 'Mission: Impossible III', so they already have a relationship. He's also a solid actor who isn't too expensive and won't overshadow the franchise, so he feels like the kind of person Disney and Abrams will be pursuing. Of course, we have no idea who Rhys Meyers will play if he does officially join the film, but it's easy to imagine the 'Tudors' star wearing Jedi robes and wielding a lightsaber...

'Star Wars Episode 7' will arrive in the summer of 2015. Will Jonathan Rhys Meyers star in it? We'll keep you updated.
