Joey Logano held off Kevin Harvick and captured the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway at Brooklyn, Mich. on Sunday afternoon. After starting on the poll, Logano had to rally past leader Mark Martin, who ran out of fuel with just three laps to go. Logano staved off Harvick's challenge on the final lap and won for the first time in 2013.

Harvick finished second with Kurt Busch, Paul Menard and Clint Bowyer rounding out the top 5 spots.

Sprint Cup series points leader Jimmie Johnson exited the race with engine trouble before the 60th lap. His 40th-place finish allowed the field to gain on his previously substantial lead. Johnson now leads Bowyer by 41 points and Carl Edwards by 51 on the season.

There are just three races remaining until NASCAR enters the Chase phase, which starts Sept. 15 at Chicagoland Speedway.
