What is the Most Important Subject in School? [POLL]

The school year is winding down, and I recently got into a discussion with my A.I.S.D. 6th grader, Nathan, about what he thinks is the most important subject in school. At first, he gave me the "make dad happy" answer, saying they are all equally important.

What’s Your Favorite Way to Save Money? [POLL]

I appreciate it when someone approaches me with a pointer that helps save me some cash. I love sharing a money-saving secret whenever I can, too. There's something about a shared deal that can bring people closer together and form a team mentality. Maybe we can call it a "savings bond".

Willie Nelson “Heroes” CD Review [VIDEO]

There seems to be a sense of urgency with Willie Nelson these days. With the release of his new CD, "Heroes", this marks the 3rd Willie album in 2 years, and his 14th since 2000. How Do You Motivate Your Child to Get Better Grades? [POLL]

Just when I thought there was an outside chance that my children were all perfect in every way, the U.S. Postal Service delivered a dose of reality. It came in the shape of an automatically generated form letter, and I was extremely surprised to see what my child was up to.

Abilene Facebook Group “Abilenee Swap Meet” Gives CraigsList and Ebay Competition

My wife Brenda came across a new way to clear out our "yard sale" pile in the garage, and do a little shopping for herself, without leaving the house. Abilenee Swap Meet is the name, but I call it Brenda's new addiction.

Pizza is a perfect food, because you can dress it up - or down - to your heart's content. You can make it either decadent and greasy or healthy, loaded with the meats and cheeses of the world, or with nothing but veggies
