How often has this happened to you? You’re out in the field, you’ve downed something and you need your skinning knife, but you forgot it and/or a sharpener at home. Here’s a quick solution, use your vehicle’s window.

When it happened to me, all I had was my pocket knife and it was dull. I remembered that the frosted edge of a cars window offers the perfect grit for honing steel. It did the job but I try not to forget my skinning knife anymore.

Remember a dull knife can cut as badly as a sharp knife if not handled properly. Now take a look at my video.
