Shania Twain is making a comeback after an 11 year hiatus from the music business. Not only does she have a residency at Caesar's Palace in Vegas, but she's also working on a new album.

It's amazing to me that with all her accolades and success Shania only had 4 studio albums. She also had one of the best producers around in her now ex-husband Mutt Lange. With all of that behind her, and being older and wiser, Shania is looking forward to a great new album full of new material.

She says this new album won't be quite as uptempo has her past albums were simply because she's in her mid-forties and is a different person. She recently did an interview with Rolling Stone magazine and says "I'm different, I've evolved, and I want that to be reflected in the music. At the same time I don't want to abandon the root of what I am."

Shania says as far as songs are concerned she's almost there but as for a producer she's on the fence as to what direction she wants to go. She's listening to a lot of music and listening to the production, trying to narrow down and decide who she wants to work on this album with, to give it the sound she wants.

She will be introducing her music to a whole new generation of fans but at the same time rekindling her relationship with previous fans. When she and Mutt divorced not only did she lose a husband but also a creative collaborator and producer. I look forward to seeing what the 'new Shania' has in store for us.

This is the video and song that started it all for Shania 'What Made You Say That?'

Do you think she can rekindle her career or has her time passed?
