Sam Hunt's inaugural The Nashional music festival has been canceled. The two-day event, set for April 20-21, 2018, at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville, Tenn., is now off "due to unforeseen circumstances."

"Although disappointed to share this news, we hope to find a future date to continue the prospect of a multi-genre, inclusive festival for the City of Nashville," a statement on the festival's website reads. "Refunds are available at point of purchase."

Hunt had planned to curate a cross-genre lineup for The Nashional. Those set to appear at the event included Judah & the Lion, Fetty Wap, Brothers Osborne, West Coast rapper Kyle, Quinn XCII, LANY, Lanco, Chelsea Cutler, Ernest K. and Muscadine Bloodline. According to Hunt, he was inspired to create the festival while out on the road for his 15 in a 30 Tour in the summer of 2017, and he knew immediately it had to be in Nashville.

"The sense of community in Nashville helps give it the character and personality that makes me proud to be a part of it," Hunt said in a press release. "I wanted to create an experience at the Nashional that celebrates music, community and everything they mean to each other and this city."

This summer, Hunt will join Luke Bryan at the stadium and ballpark stops of Bryan's What Makes You Country Tour. He's also scheduled to play the 2018 Taste of Country Music Festival in New York State in June.
