This young (about a year old) wire-hair terrier is smart, very lovable, extremely cute and he doesn't have much time left. From the minute I saw Rusty, he looked at me, as if to say, "Hey buddy, do you need a friend to talk to?" He just looks like he'd make an awesome loyal companion and here's how you can make this little critter your best friend.

Rusty and I played in the backyard of the Abilene Animal Shelter, and he just loves to run and play. When we went back inside, he would just sit at my feet, and I love that in a pet.
