In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Felicity Jones’ rebellious Jyn Erso and her team are on a mission to retrieve the plans to the Death Star which, judging by these new character posters, have been right in front of their faces THE ENTIRE TIME. Actually, on their faces, and they look like intricate Etch-a-Sketch doodles uploaded to the Grid in Tron.

The new character posters debuted on the official Star Wars Twitter account, which included short descriptions for each cast member. You can see the full poster images along with their respective details in the gallery above — though Ben Mendelsohn’s caption is missing something. The nefarious Director Orson Krennic is described as “Cruel. Brilliant. Obsessed,” but they seem to have left out “delightfully intimidating dancer.” See also: This scene from Lost River. (Noticeably absent from these posters, by the way, is Mads Mikkelsen’s Galen Erso. Boo.)

It also seems that whoever is in charge of the Star Wars account today is having a little bit of fun:

With Rogue One set to hit theaters in a couple of months, it seems that Lucasfilm’s promo machine is kicking into gear — which means we can expect to see a steady increase in posters, TV spots, featurettes, et al., leading up to the film’s release.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also stars Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Diego Luna and Forest Whitaker, and hits theaters on December 16.
