New York Jets’ coach Rex Ryan will make his movie debut in an upcoming untitled Adam Sandler comedy that cast Ryan as, of all things, a New England Patriots’ fan.

Sandler told the NFL Network that Ryan was “loose and funny” about the role, and his character will discuss Ryan’s coaching nemesis Bill Belichick in the film. It’s slotted to hit theaters next summer.

What’s stranger, though, is that Ryan will also reportedly praise Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady, about whom he’s been critical in the past.
