Rayman Legends has been delayed and will be released across multiple platforms, causing many Wii U fans some grief, given that the game was supposed to be a launch title. Ubisoft is trying to ease the burn that its fans are feeling by releasing a Wii U-exclusive demo.

Ubisoft posted on its Facebook page, apologizing to its fans for the further delay. The game was supposed to be available on February 26th, 2013, after having been pushed back from being a Wii U launch title.

Of course, the Wii U fans are not very happy about this and have been vocal about their feelings on the Facebook post, with some fans even threatening to boycott Ubisoft games as a result of the delay.

Ubisoft didn't provide a reply, but they did say that they will continue listening to feedback and that they're working with the development team to pump out an exclusive demo for the Wii U, though a Rayman Legends demo has already been floating around for a while now.

We're not sure how much compensation this offers to fans who have been waiting patiently for the release, but we'll let you know if any other news surfaces concerning the delay, the demo, and any other moves from Ubisoft.

Let us know what you think about the delay and the decision to take the game to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360!
