Brad Paisley – Shay’s Spotlight Artist of the Week

Brad Paisley is one of my favorite artists, not just because of his music but for his person as well. I think Brad has a great personality that most people get along with, similar to George Strait. He has great music, talent, humor, work ethic, and a love of the business so I chose Brad to be this weeks spotlight artist.

As you might imagine, a Dr. Bellows reference doesn’t quite go over like gangbusters today like it would, say, 44 years ago. Unsurprisingly, I had to explain who Dr. Bellows is and that explanation was met with the inquiry, “Wait, how old are you?”

Jerrod Niemann Interview: Singer Prepares to Settle Down, But Keeps Gambling With Songs on ‘High Noon’

There's a room in Jerrod Niemann's house; a red room. Don't jump to conclusions, although it is where the 'Drink to That All Night' singer says he builds confidence. Think red walls, a red ceiling, thick shag carpet -- red.

Country newcomer Michael Ray recently stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to tell his story, talk about writing with John Rich and debut some new music.
