I don't know what to think about this story. New York has come up with a way to make money off of kids and cell phones. Since kids are not allowed to carry cell phones into school, trucks or "Valets" as they are called, park just off the school grounds and collect money for the cell phones to hold them during the day.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't just leave your phone at home, but that's beside the point here. These trucks are charging students a dollar a day to hold their cell phones until after school. The student gets a ticket in exchange for their phone and can pick it up after school.

The kids in this video give some interesting reasons as to why they need their phones during the school day. Such reasoning includes, we might need to get hold of our parents and we can't just keep going to the office all the time or (my favorite) I play basketball so I need to know all about professional, college and high school basketball for all that time I'm in there {the classroom}.

Yes, this is the new generation that will one day be running our country. Scary isn't it!!

Would you trust a "valet" with your phone for the day?
