While Zack Snyder’s stint directing Justice League had to be cut short due to a tragedy in his family, it looks like he had a lot of fun with the time he did have on set. Snyder posted a bunch of behind-the-scenes set photos on the new social media app he’s been championing called Vero; they show the mechanics of shooting all those underwater scenes, and some very nice photos of Batman’s tech.

The Aquaman stuff is probably the coolest part of all this from a technical standpoint, since the photos show off just how intricate the sets and wire harnesses have to be for all these underwater scenes. There’s motion-capture, and green-screen, and one of those metal belt things that allows you to move in any direction while you’re suspended in air. Being Aquaman sounds fun.

The fact that a bunch of Amazons are going to be fighting alongside a bunch of Atlantean soldiers might be the biggest draw for this movie. This is the team-up spinoff we need AND deserve.

For more of the photos, head on over to Zack Snyder’s Vero to peruse through them all.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman (Ben Affleck) , Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) —it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters November 17.
