The season premiere of ABC's hit show 'Nashville' was already expected to be big, apparently it's going to make history. The show is going to attempt to kick off with live musical performances!

'Nashville' will be the very first scripted drama to attempt live music during the show. The Season 3 kickoff episode will feature two performances from actors that are truly live.

Will Lexington, played by Chris Carmack, and Deacon Claybourne, played by Charles Esten, will be two giving live performances from the show's own Bluebird Cafe set in Music City.

"We want people to know what it's really like," creator Callie Khouri says of their unprecedented idea (quote via Nashville Edge). "The live music here is such a huge presence in our show that we thought maybe we could find a way to share with the world what that feels like for real."

It was up in the air whether or not the show would even be renewed for a third season, but now that they're confirmed, they're making sure it'll be one for the books. It's also finally been decided that 'Nashville' will remain in its namesake city of Nashville. An $8 million incentive package helped make that decision final.

The third season of 'Nashville' debuts on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10PM ET on ABC.
