Dolly Parton not only is a terrific singer but she also has some acting chops too. Remember Steel Magnolia's, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rhinestone, Straight Talk and Nine to Five to name a few. Well this time Dolly has teamed up with another great singer/actress Queen Latifah for a new movie being released January 13th called "Joyful Noise".

Dolly has long been a fan favorite whether it's in music or movies and from the looks of the movie trailer she may have another hit on her hands. Queen Latifah has also had her share of movie appearances too. Taxi, Chicago, Hairspray, The Secret Life of Bees, Last Holiday and many more. Dolly and Queen Latifah have a great chemistry together. Add into that Keke Palmer and Jeremy Jordan, Courtney B. Vance and Kris Kristofferson and you have a great cast of singers that will have you tapping your toes. The only thing I can see that might have the critics talking is it reminds me a little of Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg.

This movie has Queen Latifah and Dolly having different ideas of how to win a national Gospel choir competition. Dolly is being replaced as the director by Queen Latifah and the budget for the choir has been cut and they have to find a way to work together. Enter Dolly's grandson (Jeremy Jordan). He comes into the picture to shake things up a little, bring some spunk into the mix and add a little romance with Queen Latifah's daughter (Keke Palmer). New ideas are met with some resistance at first but then of course opinions change and things turn out for the best.

There's drama, humor, romance and lots of great singing. Don't know about you but I love the cast and will definitely go check this out!!
