Live performances from Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood or both of them together dominate the nominees in this Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards category, but a performance filmed while driving may end up being the winner.

Kris Jones (AKA the "Tennessee Whiskey" Dad) was just singing along to Chris Stapleton as he drove, but his daughter's recording remained one of the highlights of the year. Conversely, Jason Aldean's performance on Saturday Night Live was both a highlight and lowlight. He was great, but it came in the wake of the year's biggest tragedy.

CMA Awards show performances of Urban singing "Female" and Underwood singing "Softly and Tenderly" are nominated in the ToC Awards, as is their ACM Awards collaboration of "The Fighter." Eric Church's Grand Ole Opry performance of a song called "Why Not Me" was humbling and brutally beautiful. The song was written in the wake of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
