The Boot's readers have voted Miranda Lambert's "Vice" as Song of the Year in the 2017 Golden Boot Awards! The song bested five other hits to earn the title.

With 36.11 percent, Lambert's "Vice" narrowly beat out Brad Paisley's sentimental "Today" to earn 2017's Golden Boot Awards Song of the Year titleFaith Hill and Tim McGraw's "Speak to a Girl" placed third in the poll, which also included Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y.""Body Like a Back Road" by Sam Hunt; and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's "Hope the High Road."

The first single from Lambert's newest album, The Weight of These Wings, "Vice" finds Lambert “owning her s–t.” The country star says that she wrote "Vice" "at the exact time of the s–t hitting the fan,” alluding to her 2015 divorce from Blake Shelton.

“Everybody has a vice of some sort,” Lambert explains. “I think this song is an opportunity to just be honest and own it and say, ‘Yeah, I have some imperfections, and I live a life, and here and there I might get in a pickle’ ... Everybody has a vice they run to when they need comfort, and I think that’s what this song says. There’s no mystery here. I run to things for comfort just like everybody else.”

“Vice” debuted at No. 19 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart (a career high for Lambert).
