Country’s own Miranda Lambert and her famous husband Blake Shelton might not get as much time together as they would like, but when they do, they prefer the simple life. Lambert co-hosted ABC’s ‘The View’ this morning (July 25), and she admitted that the couple does find it challenging to juggle their busy careers sometimes.

“It’s crazy right now,” Lambert said, adding of her husband, “He’s already taping Season 3 of ‘The Voice.’ So I’m in L.A. a lot of the time, and I’m on tour, and he’s not really able to tour right now. He’s just doing things here and there.”

When the busy couple does find time in their schedules, Lambert said they keep it simple, describing a typical date night as “going home together” — similar to what Shelton dished earlier this year. “We live in Oklahoma, so going home and actually being at the house together is like, ‘This is weird,’” she admitted. “So that’s kind of our go-to.”

While visiting the morning show, Lambert also performed ‘Takin’ Pills’ with her group Pistol Annies, and shared her husband’s honorary nickname in the band. Laughing, she spilled, “He’s Pistol Andy.”
