Miranda Lambert Models a New Short, Vintage Hairstyle
Change is good, even when you are a naturally gorgeous country superstar with a signature hairstyle. Miranda Lambert just debuted a brand new look, which consists of much shorter, swingier and straighter hair, complete with long, side-swept bangs.
The 'Baggage Claim' singer swapped her familiar, long, thick, big waves for incredibly flattering, shoulder-grazing layers. It looks like Lambert shed a lot of the volume and weight of her former mane, making it appear lighter and breezier. She's not as weighed down by having so much hair. The verdict? She looks terrific -- and just in time for fall.
The shorter length really suits her, as does the sleek, straight texture. The face-framing, side-swept fringe is a hot look for the season, so props to Lambert for having the guts to take the plunge and go for a shorter look. Honestly, though, she could have chopped it all off and would have still looked gorgeous, but this is such a modern, cute style.
She hinted that she would be making the change via Twitter, posting: "Gettin a new do today!"
That sparked plenty of fan interest. One diehard even resorted to asking her hubby Blake Shelton what she was planning with her coif. He responded with a joke... Of course he did. 'The Voice' coach tweeted: "@MirandasRanFans: Please give us a hint on what @Miranda_Lambert did to her hair!” Hmmm... Oh! Ever seen "There's Something About Mary"?
Lambertt eventually tweeted a real shot of her new locks, saying only, "A change would do u good....:)" And based on the picture, the starlet looks happy with the end result, throwing up the peace sign behind a pair of aviator shades in the reveal photo.
We love it! What do you think, Taste of Country readers? Do you like 'Randa with a shorter, vintage 'do -- or do you prefer her larger-than-life country girl volume and length?
