Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban + More to Guest Star on John Fogerty Album
From Lionel Richie‘s recent ‘Tuskegee‘ album to Taylor Swift‘s onstage appearances with artists like T.I. and rapper B.o.B., we’ve seen quite a few cross-genre collaborations involving country artists of late. Oh, and don’t forget about Jason Aldean‘s duet with Kelly Clarkson that just took home two ACM Awards last weekend. And now, Creedence Clearwater Revival rocker John Fogerty just announced that he’s going to release a new record featuring a handful of country artists, as well as others.
Fogerty’s ‘A Song for Everyone,’ set to release this fall, will feature new songs as well as some of the singer’s most beloved hits. For the collaborative project, the classic rocker will be inviting along the likes of Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Alan Jackson and Brad Paisley, as well as more rock and indie artists like Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, My Morning Jacket and Dawes.
While it isn’t yet known what songs the country stars will make their guest appearances on, or even what tracks will be included on the project, Foo Fighters are expected to lend their style to ‘Fortunate Son’ and Bob Seger will guest star on ‘Who’ll Stop the Rain.’ With more artists still to be announced for the record, the Vanguard Records release is set to be quite the vocal collusion of talent.
In addition to looking forward to this vocal event, Lambert is also able to revel in her new coronation as Female Vocalist of the Year alongside husband Blake Shelton, who was proclaimed the Male Vocalist of the Year at this past weekend’s 2012 ACM Awards. Lambert also took home the coveted Album of the Year trophy for her platinum album ‘Four the Record.’
