Country star Miranda Lambert gave a stirring performance of her newest single, "Keeper of the Flame,"at the 2018 ACM Awards on Sunday evening (April 15). The song comes from the singer's 2016 double album, The Weight of These Wings.

"I'm the keeper of the flame / The teller of the story / The keeper of the flame / For the ones that came before me," Lambert sang onstage at the ACMs ceremony, backed by a video screen of red-hot flames. She accompanied herself on acoustic guitar, while her band backed her up; backup singer Gwen Sebastian could be heard adding harmonies throughout the performance.

An empowering, soaring ballad, "Keeper of the Flame" reflects on the role Lambert plays keeping the legacy of country music's greatest songs and artists alive. It was a fitting choice for her ACMs performance: Not only is Lambert the most-awarded female artist in ACM history, she's also the solo act with the greatest number of wins, and, as of earlier tonight, the most-awarded artist, period, in ACM Awards history.

Earlier this evening, Lambert won Song of the Year to set that record. She is also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year.
