Forget Tae Bo and P90X -- this may be the next great exercise craze.

Dubbed "The World's First Cannabis Gym," Power Plant Fitness recently opened in Novato, Calif. It's a gym where people working out can also smoke pot.

Jim McAlpine, who is one of the men behind Power Plant Fitness, says smoking pot helps him. “I personally use it for focus," he says. "It’s not about getting high. It’s about keeping my mind engaged in the activity I’m in."

Former NFL star and Heisman Trophy (or is that High-sman Trophy?) Ricky Williams, who is also part of the team that opened the gym, says he wants people to think differently about marijuana.

I think a lot of people buy into the stoner stereotype where guys just sit on the couch, smoke and don’t do anything, and they’re not very motivated. I found when I was playing football that using cannabis helped me relax physically, relax mentally and even spiritually."

Of course, there's always the risk someone will go on the treadmill and two minutes later forget where they're going, but that's beside the point.

If you don't enjoy smoking pot, don't worry -- Power Plant will also offer edibles and topical gels.

McAlpine and Williams may be serious in this undertaking, but it certainly lends itself it to some humor, so we couldn't resist coming up with some admittedly lame humor about the subject. Don't "roll" your eyes when you read them. In fact, maybe you should get blazed to mellow your harsh.

  • Don't work out too hard or you'll be in chronic pain.
  • You'll have a kick-hash workout.
  • You'll have a kick-grass workout.
  • Don't strain a hammy.
  • You can keep yourself hydrated at the bongwater fountain.
  • There will be a moment of silence each day at 4:20.
  • Some people will be focused on curls, some will be focused on rolls.
  • When lifting heavy weights, make sure to ask someone to pot you.
