Miss Maggie the beautiful nine year old chocolate lab has a new home in the country.  As you can read in the comment below, Correne Allen and her husband wrote "my husband and I are bringing Maggie home tomorrow. we think Maggie will really like the country with a lot of room to run & right on the water too." Thank you to the Allen family for saving this sweet little lady.

Animal Services Manager at the Abilene animal shelter, Aaron Vannoy said, that older animals rarely get adopted, yet they make the best companions.

Listen as Arron Vannoy shares the good News "Maggie's got a new home"

Original post

Her name is Maggie and this little lady is in dire need of a new home, fast. Maggie is up for adoption at the Abilene Animal Shelter. She is absolutely positively the sweetest chocolate lab in the world. Maggie was turned in by her previous owners, who had her for 9 years. The reason was, they are moving and cannot take Maggie with them.

In the time I spent with Maggie, I learned that she is house broken (a major plus), she is fixed (another big bonus), she is also trained to sit, stay, lay down, fetch the ball and shake. The fact that she is 9 years old makes her an awesome companion dog, because she likes to chill. Looking into to her eyes, I get the feeling she just wants to love, and be loved. Can you help us save Maggie?
