Luke Combs treated 2018 CMA Awards viewers to "She Got the Best of Me" during the annual awards show on Wednesday night (Nov. 14). The track comes from the rising star's 2017 debut album, This One's for You.

Combs just won New Artist of the Year earlier in the show, but he didn't slow down. The country artist gave a lively rendition of his hot new single, "She Got the Best of Me," a song about jumping right into the fire of love and coming out burned, but appreciating the experience regardless. Combs' bravado stood strong on the giant stage as he gave one of the better vocal performances of the night.

"She Got the Best of Me" has enjoyed major mainstream radio success, spending four weeks at number one on Billboard's hot country chart-- the only song of 2018 to do so. It was co-written by Combs, Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder, it was added as a bonus track to his debut album.

At the 2018 CMA Awards, Combs earned nominations in the Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year categories. The singer-songwriter will begin his headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour in January, with Lanco and Jameson Rodgers opening.
