Luke Bryan is lending his hosting talents to the Today show. The "Fast" singer shared mic duties with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb Wednesday morning (June 7), when the fourth hour of the show was broadcast live from Nashville.

To open the segment, Gifford and Kotb were shown coming out of a bar, disheveled after a night of partying on Lower Broadway. Realizing they might be late to work, they run out the doors of a honky tonk to find Bryan right in front of them on a pedal tavern.

"Welcome to Nashville," Bryan says. "This is a pedal tavern, girls. You get to drink and pedal all at the same time."

He invites them to hop on so they can get to their gig faster. The co-hosts arrive at Honky Tonk Central moments later, where they'd set up shop for their morning broadcast, and take Bryan with them. Surrounded by fans decked out in Predators gear, the three co-hosts discussed what the hockey team's success means to the city, with Gifford noting: "Your town is on fire right now."

"It was a secret. Now the gig is up. Everybody knows about Nashville," Bryan shares. "It's electric right now. We've got the CMT Awards tonight. We've got CMA Fest. I'll tell you, the Predators thing is the neatest thing. It's the most amazing sports moment I've ever been a part of when you see the energy that's going on around Nashville."

The secret to the Predators' success? Trisha Yearwood's homemade lemon cookies, apparently. She appeared on Today, too, and as she explains, it's these cookies that have helped the home team dominate the 2017 hockey season.

"I'm not going to say they brought good luck to the Predators. I'm just going to say that some of the guys were on my show last year and I made these for them and they're winning," she notes.
