I loved and grew up watching Laverne & Shirley.  I was pretty much a Shirley Feeney kinda girl myself but the whole cast was great.  Unfortunately we lost one of the co-stars yesterday.  Betty Garrett  died Sunday due to an aortic aneurysm at the age of 91.  I was familiar with her character in "All In The Family" but didn't realize she was so involved in Broadway.

Garrett was best known as the flirtatious girl in love with the shy Frank Sinatra in "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "On the Town," both in 1949. In "All in the Family," she played the chatty friend of Edith Bunker who duels with Archie, and in "Laverne and Shirley," a landlady who married Laverne's father.
