Lauren Alaina has caused fan frenzy after posting a picture to social media about a brand-new song -- and this time, it has a theme. Alaina will be paying homage to the decade of fanny packs, Beanie Babies and the Macarena with a fun throwback, which is due out in October.

On Thursday (Sept. 6), Alaina took to her Instagram account to share a picture announcing the upcoming release of a new song called "Ladies in the '90s." Fittingly, Alaina went all out in a '90s theme for the accompanying picture appearing in a Britney Spears T-shirt, Scrunchie and vibrant blue eye shadow.

Although the post is lacking in details, Alaina did share her excitement for the song and a release date of Oct. 5. She also debuted "Ladies in the '90s" live in concert on Thursday night; readers can watch a snippet of the performance below.

Late last month, Alaina, along with Ashley McBryde and Deana Carter, rocked the crowd at the 2018 ACM Honors with a medley of hit tunes penned by Matraca Berg, the recipient of the Poet's Award at the ceremony. During their performance, Alaina took the lead at the start, for a breathtaking delivery of Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter's hit collaboration "You & Tequila."

The "Road Less Traveled" singer spent her summer touring with Jason Aldean, as an opening act on his High Noon Neon Tour. More information about Alaina can be found on her official website.
