Jason Aldean has been keeping busy on the road with this leg of his My Kinda Party Tour. Joined by Luke Bryan and Lauren Alaina, the ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ singer has his weekends in February and March filled with shows all over the country. And since he has such a talented country lady joining him on his caravan, Aldean has been giving the female part of his hit Kelly Clarkson duet, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ to Alaina.

The video clip below shows Alaina belting out Clarkson’s part of the duet and really holding her own with Aldean onstage. She brings the super high note down just a bit to fit her range, but she still nails the song. Also of notice is the excited and obviously inebriated fan who tries to make her stage debut right alongside the ‘American Idol‘ runner-up. She just doesn’t get to enjoy her moment for very long before being ushered offstage by security.

Aldean starts the song at the front of the stage but then walks up onto a platform, where Alaina emerges just in time for the female part. The two sing for a while on the platform before making their way to the front of the stage, right by their enthusiastic fans.

“Y’all make some noise for Miss Lauren Alaina,” Aldean shouts into the audience, and fans respond with cheering and applause as they’ve been singing along for the entire song.

Early this morning, Alaina tweeted her thanks to the major artist, saying, “I just want to say how thankful I am to @Jason_Aldean For letting me be a part of his tour. #mykindapartyforsure.”
