Lauren Alaina has announced a second canceled performance after her family has been hit with a medical emergency.

The 23-year-old rising star first canceled a concert scheduled for Wednesday night (Aug. 29) at Bands at Barnard, part of the Summer Concert Series from country station 92.5 WBEE in Rochester, N.Y. On Wednesday night, her team turned to her social media to announce that Alaina will also miss her scheduled performance at the 2018 Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach, Fla., which runs from Friday (Aug. 31) until Sunday (Sept. 2).

"Due to a family medical emergency, Lauren Alaina will not be performing at this weekend's Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam," the message reads. "She is grateful to all the fans for the outpouring of love during this time and hopes to see you soon."

Alaina revealed in June that her stepfather, Sam Ramker, is battling Stage 4 cancer. Her mother, Kristy, posted an update on Ramker's GoFundMe page on Tuesday (Aug. 28), revealing that he had taken a turn for the worse.

"Update on Sam! He is currently in ICU due to a infection in his lungs," she wrote. "Today they are going to be draining the fluid. Please keep us in your prayers. Treatment is going well. We just hit a speed bump in the road. Treatment will continue this week as planned. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and donations. Our family is so grateful."

Alaina has not addressed the situation publicly, but she alluded to it on Tuesday when she posted on Twitter after receiving the news that she was nominated for New Artist of the Year in the 2018 CMA Awards, writing, "God always shines some light in a time of darkness. It’s been a tough week for my family, but this brightened everything up a little. Thank you to all the people who made this nomination possible. You know who you are."
