With marriage comes new traditions -- something Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott is learning this holiday season. This year marks the first time the 'Wanted You More' frontwoman will be away from the Scott clan, instead spending time with her new, extended family.

"I will be with my in-laws for the first Thanksgiving since we got married," says the newlywed (quote via Contact Music). "Here is my one stipulation: because this is the first Thanksgiving away from my family, I have to make my grandmother's sweet potato casserole."

"I'm bringing the recipe and I'm making it because it wouldn't feel like Thanksgiving if we didn't have that," adds Lady A's leading lady.

Scott married Nashville-based drummer Chris Tyrrell in a private winter ceremony earlier this year, making the singer the second trio member to tie the knot. Band member Dave Haywood made it three-for-three just months later when he married his longtime friend.

A little family bonding time with her new in-laws sounds rather relaxing, but Scott's holiday downtime will no doubt be brief. Lady Antebellum will return to the promotional circuit immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday in support of 'On This Winter's Night,' the trio's first holiday-themed record.

Upcoming appearances include the 'CMA Country Christmas' special, as well as an intimate holiday concert at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Dec. 3.
