Kip Moore has news for fans eager to hear new music: his acoustic album will be coming down the pipeline very soon.

On the red carpet prior to ACM Honors earlier this month, Moore shared with the Boot that he's put the finishing touches on a much-anticipated acoustic album, so it will reach fans' ears in the near future.

"It's right around the corner. That's the update. I'm finished," he spills.

Moore previously revealed that the acoustic set is one of three projects he's currently working on, including two full records. Fans had been asking for an acoustic project for awhile, and their passion was too much to ignore.

"It's special to me. It's what the diehards have been asking for for a while. I heard their rally around it, so we're about to deliver," Moore continues.

Kip Moore Has One of the Best Clapback Country Songs Ever

The singer-songwriter explained to Taste of Country at Country Jam 2018 in June that the songs featured on the acoustic record are ones that didn't make it on to his previous studio albums. He tells the Boot that his influences and musical style lend to a more raw approach.

"I've thought about doing a solely acoustic, stripped-down record. I think that's already showing in a lot of stuff," he says. "You've got songs like 'Guitar Man' on Slowheart. That [sound] has found its way onto my records a lot of different times, if you actually dive into the record."

Fans may be able to hear these acoustic numbers when Moore hits the road on the 2018 After the Sunburn Tour that sees him traveling the country with openers Jordan Davis and Jillian Jacqueline this fall. The Wild Feathers and newcomer Caroline Jones will also join the three-month trek. Moore's tour launches on Sept. 20 and concludes on Nov. 17 in Nashville at the War Memorial Auditorium.
