Kid Rock's assistant Michael Sacha was intoxicated when he was killed in an ATV accident last month. An autopsy obtained by TMZ shows the 30-year-old had a blood alcohol level of .21, over twice the legal limit to operate a vehicle in Tennessee.

TMZ also reports that a medical examiner concluded that a severe head wound was the official cause of Sacha's death. He was found lying next to an ATV in the driveway of Kid Rock’s Tennessee home. Rock had guests over for a cookout the night before and Sacha was said to have been shuttling people to the front gate at the end of the evening. He was last seen alive at about 12AM on April 25. The country-rock singer (real name Robert Ritchie) and another friend found Sacha on an embankment when they woke up the following day, a Monday. Rock called 911 just after 11:30AM.

"He’s off to the side of the driveway and we have an ATV and we heard the engine running," an unidentified female told emergency responders during the 911 call. "It’s in the trees and it’s still running."

Rock says the incident was an accident and spoke fondly of Sacha on his website after his death, calling him “one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with."

Instead of returning to Detroit that day, Rock stayed with Sacha's body until he could personally see that he was returned to family. Later that week he pulled out of a Detroit Music Awards appearance.

Kid Rock is scheduled to headline at the Taste of Country Music Festival, WE Fest and Country on the River this summer and will also join Jason Aldean at his two shows at Fenway Park in Boston in September.
