Justin Bieber’s Mom is Releasing a Pro-Life Film
Young superstar Justin Bieber's mom has just produced and is releasing a pro-life short film. Pattie Mallette, is a devout christian pro-life mom, with intentions of getting her pro-life message out and to "hopefully raise ten million dollars and then donate it to crisis pregnancy centers worldwide." The new short film is called 'Crescendo' a video based on the 18th century dealings with pregnancy and abortion. Miss Mallette hopes to have her short film in at least 1,000 theaters by February 28th. Mallette, also hopes to share her story at some of the screenings across America.
Pattie Mallette said the cause was personal to her because a crisis pregnancy center helped her when she got pregnant with Beiber at when she was 17 years old. The pro-life mom grew up in a broken home in Canada, according to her autobiography 'Nowhere But Up' her alcoholic father left when she was just two, she was sexually abused until she was 14 years old. Mallette says
"the abuse led to drugs, theft, and depression. I tried to commit suicide at 17, and was sent to a mental ward, where I became a Christian."
She says she returned to her past life and got pregnant and her friends told her to terminate the pregnancy, but she kept the baby because of her faith. "I knew that I had to do what it took, I just couldn't do it." Her parents kicked her out of the house and she stayed at a home for pregnant women. She gave birth to Bieber in 1994, and lived off welfare and the paychecks from part-time jobs. When Justin was 13, Hollywood came calling after his YouTube video went viral. Mallette and Bieber moved to the U.S. to pursue his career. Mallette said she hopes 'Crescendo' and the fundraising for crisis pregnancy centers will
"encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."
While Justin Bieber does not sing about such controversial social issues. He has yet to comment publicly on his mom's latest venture. Stay tuned for more.
