Juda the gentle giant was finally adopted on Sunday June 2nd at Pet Smart when employees of the Abilene Animal Control Shelter held an emergency pet adoption in the parking lot at the Shops of Abilene. Shelter employee Brittany said "I was worried that Juda was going to be put down, but this past Sunday a family with a large ranch said they had one and that theirs could use a friend so they adopted Juda on the spot."

Original Story: May 28th, 2013 21:47pm

Juda the gentle giant is a white Great Pyrenees weighing in at only 85 pounds, you'll find him at the Abilene Animal Control Shelter. The minute I saw Juda I couldn't wait to get into his kennel with him. I could tell that he was gentle and very well trained. This big boy needs room to stretch out and run and if you have the facilities to accommodate this giant four legged teddy bear of a dog, then I have the perfect pet for you. Please help me save Juda, I don't want to see him put down because nobody cared.

Great Pyrenees make awesome family pets and this big boy really needs a family that knows what a big dog likes and needs. Juda's general disposition is very calm and laid back. He is 3 and a half years old, Everest White in color, weighs just over 85 pounds and is extremely playful. Juda is looking for someone to give him some love and attention in return. His previous owner was diagnosed with a terminal illness and can no longer care for Juda. He is good with kids, cats and other dogs.

Can you help me save Juda please? Tell friends, coworkers and family, help spread the word about the KEAN-Critters up for adoption, tell anyone that will listen and/or appreciate a story of an awesome pet that needs some love. Because Juda came in as an owner turn in, he really needs to find a home right away or he'll be put down right away, we only have a few days. Please help.
