Before I introduce our next KEAN Critter, with a heavy heart, I hate to report that last week's pair of "Lovable Labs" did not get adopted in time. I was informed by the staff at the shelter that "no one ever adopts or wants the older animals". That is a shame. They were just so beautiful and well behaved. It's so sad.

Okay, now lets see if we can save an innocent critter this week. Can you please help save Jordan the cat?

Jordan is a domestic short-hair tabby that has stripes like that of a tiger, she is only two years old and was turned in by it's owner because they moved into a place to won't allow animals. I promise you Jordan is a very sweet and lovable cat. She is a small frame cat with lady like looks and disposition. If she is not adopted soon, this adorable cat will be put down as early as Monday morning.

I brought my wife with me this week, she is the cat aficionado in our family. I wanted Donna's insight on some of the most wonderful cats and kittens I've ever seen at the pound. At first Jordan was shy and didn't want to come out of her cage, then Donna rested her hand in the cage and Jordan, the elusive cat, came to life and turned on her motor. She purred the entire time while I was taking pictures of her. Jordan needs a good loving home, you can see it in her eyes, she wants to love and to be loved.

This summer the Abilene area is turning in cats and kittens at an alarming rate. Shelter Director Vannoy, thinks this year may be a record year for the amount of animals (both dogs and cats) that are being turned in and put to death. If we work together we can save some of God's innocent little critters. Please visit the shelter and help Jordan and the rest of her cell mates find a home.
