As superhero Hawkeye in ‘The Avengers,’ Jeremy Renner uses his bow and arrow to kick some bad guy butt, but in real life this dreamy dude is shooting arrows into our hearts, Cupid-style.
Jeremy Renner has emerged as an action hero in recent years, with roles in films like ‘The Hurt Locker,’ ‘The Avengers,’ ‘The Bourne Legacy‘ and, most recently, ‘Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.’ He can run, fight, and save the entire world — and look gorgeous doing so. He’s also gotten to share the big screen with lucky leading ladies like Scarlett Johansson and Rachel Weisz. Not too shabby.
Renner studied computer science, criminology, and psychology before he realized that acting was his destiny. His work in the independent psychological thriller ‘Dahmer,’ in which he played notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, helped get him his breakout role in ‘The Hurt Locker.’
Jeremy also has a generous heart, contributing time as a United Nations Goodwill Peace Ambassador, helping to raise awareness for mine-clearing efforts in Afghanistan. To stay humble, Renner continues to work renovating and restoring old, classic Hollywood homes, something he’s been doing since his early days as an actor.
