Did you buy the new Jason Aldean CD, 'Night Train'? If you did, you're not alone. The singer's latest album has parked itself on the top slot on the 'Billboard Top 200' chart, making this Aldean's first debut atop the all genres chart.

The highly-anticipated fifth album from Aldean sold over 400,000 copies (409,303 to be exact) in its first week, which also ranks 'Night Train' as the second-highest debut album of the year in all genres of music, behind only Mumford & Sons' 'Babel', which sold 600,000 copies in its debut week.

Aldean spoke with The Tennessean about what the first week of 'Night Train' has been like for him:

"This past week was beyond anything I ever expected. The 'Night Train' has already been a crazy ride for me. We flew around making TV appearances and stadium announcements all over the country, fueled by little more than coffee and adrenaline…so many fans jumped on board with us, and I couldn't be more thankful.”

Jason may have more reason to be excited later this week, as he's nominated for three CMA Awards, including the most coveted, Entertainer of the Year. The CMA Awards will air at 7:00pm CT on ABC.

Aldean has already announced a set of stadium shows slated for 2013, with performances at Chicago's Wrigley Field, Boston's Fenway Park (where a second date has been announced) and University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium scheduled.
