Jason Aldean and hip-hop star Ludacris appear to be working on something new. The rapper recently tweeted the photo of him and Aldean (seen above) pouring over a sound board in Nashville. “In studio again w/ Jason Aldean in Nashville Tn! More history being made right now!” Ludacris tweeted on Monday.

The Georgia born entertainers first collaborated at the 2011 CMT Music Awards in June. Aldean let his fellow Georgian handle the second verse of ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ and Ludacris made it his own. They’ve since given encore performances of the duet, most recently at the Grammy nominations concert in November.

Aldean has apparently decided not to “go into hiding” completely, as promised after he won six awards at the 2011 American Country Awards last week. It seems likely that the collaboration is for Aldean’s new album. He told Taste of Country that he had begun recording the project in November. Fans can likely expect that project to be available some time in 2012.
