If you think you're hip to what the kids are texting these days, think again. Here are some internet acronyms that all parents should know.

With the digital age in full swing, long gone are the days when the only form of communication between kids was at school. They're texting - and texting a lot. In fact, you can't really go anywhere without seeing a bunch of kids with their heads down and their little fingers going 100mph as they text their friends. Trust me, I know. I have kids.

But, what are they really texting?

Sure we all know what "LOL" (Laugh Out Loud), "BRB" (Be Right Back), or "HMU" (Hit Me Up) all mean. But, it seems the kids have come up with a other acronyms that parents might not know about, and could signal a dangerous situation.

That said, here's a list of acronyms, courtesy of CNN, that teens are using that should raise a red flag for parents. Some you might have seen, while others may surprise you.

  • NIFOC - Naked In Front Of Computer
  • PIR - Parent In Room
  • CU46 - See You For Sex
  • 53X - Sex
  • 9 - Parent Watching
  • 99 - Parent Gone
  • 1174' - Party Meeting Place
  • THOT - That Hoe Over There
  • CID - Acid (drug)
  • Broken - Hungover
  • 420 - Marijuana
  • POS - Parent Over Shoulder
  • Sugarpic - Erotic Photo
  • KOTL - Kiss On The Lips
  • LMIRL - Let's Meet In Real Life
  • PRON - Porn
  • TDTM - Talk Dirty To Me
  • 8 - Oral Sex
  • CD9 - Parents Around/Code 9
  • IPN - I'm Posting Naked
  • LH6 - Let's Have Sex
  • WTTP - Want To Trade Pictures
  • DOC - Drug Of Choice
  • TWD - Texting While Driving
  • GYPO - Get Your Pants Off
  • KPC - Keeping Parents Clueless
  • 143 - I love You

Those are just the tip of the iceberg as there are hundreds of other acronyms that not only kids use, but adults as well. But, I wanted to highlight the ones might suggest a bigger problem for a teenager.
