Wait, wasn't this franchise about a future where teenagers are forced to conform to predetermined groups? And then one group tried to take over society by mind-controlling the others? When did this movie become about floating houses and Shailene Woodley jumping around like Spider-Man? Did I miss a movie between last spring's 'Divergent' and next spring's 'The Divergent Series: Insurgent'? I'm so confused.

I definitely didn't, because this first teaser is promoting the second film in the YA-adapting franchise, which stars Woodley as the heroic Tris. She joins the freewheeling (and free-running) members of Dauntless and then discovers she is Divergent; an uncategorizable person who shows traits from all her dystopian society's various factions. In 'Divergent,' Tris fell for her Dauntless instructor Four (Theo James) and then helped fight off a coup engineered by the members of Erudite and their leader (played by Kate Winslet).

As for 'Insurgent,' uh... flying houses? Tris' mom (Ashley Judd) in trouble? Actually (SPOILER ALERT), Judd's character died in 'Divergent,' meaning this whole thing is one big dream sequence. Which is kind of a shame, because I was into the whole flying houses thing; it's sort of like 'Up' without the hassle of blowing up all the balloons. What I can tell you in a more concrete sense is that the film is directed by Robert Schwentke, and stars Woodley, James, Winsley, Ansel Elgort, Ray Stevenson, Jai Courtney, Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz, Octavia Spencer, and new addition Naomi Watts. It deals with the fallout of the attempted coup, and finds Tris on the run from Winslet's forces.

'The Divergent Series: Insurgent' opens on March 20, 2015.
