As just about everyone in the world knows by now, The Hulk completely stole the show in Marvel’s ‘The Avengers‘ these past few weeks.  For a while Disney (through ABC) and visionary director Guillermo del Toro had talked about the possibility of bringing the green brute back to TV screens in the tradition of the classic Lou Ferrigno / Bill Bixby take, but with ABC’s fall schedule revealed, what does it mean for our dream of seeing ‘The Hulk’ on TV?

While discussing the new ABC schedule and the new series coming to the network, ABC president Paul Lee fielded questions about the current status of Marvel TV series, given Disney now owns the properties.  The Hulk had been the farthest along in development, but could other Marvel TV series arise as well?  Speaking on the success of ‘The Avengers’ and future Hulk TV, Lee says:

“Of course we’re immensely proud to be a company with The Avengers. We’re going to continue to develop aggressively. Hulk is in development. It wasn’t going to be ready for this season but we hope it’s going to be ready for next season.”

So with the Guillermo del Toro and David Eick (‘Battlestar Galactica‘) produced Hulk still theoretically in play, what other Marvel characters might grace the small screen in the future?  “We’ve got some in development, but none that I can talk about at this point,” says Lee, which seems to put to rest any notion of the Jessica Jones adaptation previously discussed or the Punisher series that ultimately never went to pilot.

What say you?  Does the Hulk still have a chance of smashing onto the small screen any time soon?  What Marvel character would you most want to see on TV?  Assemble your dream team in the comments below!
