As a avid outdoorsman, I think the key to survival is preparation. Today's tip shows you how to make a tent out of a trash bag and other household goods, like dental floss, clothes hangers and some water bottle caps.

In recent videos, I covered fire and water as part of my One-Armed Outdoorsman series and weather really didn't play a role.

However, putting up my trash bag tent proved to be a bit challenging because of the wind. I discovered if you attach the two center peaks first, the four corners are easy to anchor down with the clothes hanger stakes.

The video above will show you a basic example of a tent that will keep you dry and warm.
