Netflix’s ‘House of Cards’ Reveals Three Final Trailers: “I’m Not Going Anywhere!”

We’re just days away from Netflix’s ‘House of Cards‘ season 2 premiere, but given the “all at once” model, the debut of 13 new episodes will have to last us until 2015, season 3 renewal or no. To that end, check out three more trailers for the coming return of Netflix’s Kevin Spacey-Robin Wright political thriller, each more tantalizing than the last!

With all 13 episodes in the can and premiering at once, we have no way to know how or when the material in the latest trailers will unfold in context, though the season at least looks to have much more drive than its predecessor. Season 2 will see Frank Underwood ascending to the Vice Presidency, though his transgressions from season 1 will return to haunt him, even with Claire at his side.

So says the ‘House of Cards’ season 2 logline:

In the second season, Francis (Spacey) and Claire (Wright) Underwood continue their ruthless rise to power as threats mount on all fronts. Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara, ‘American Horror Story’), an up-and-coming reporter and Francis’s former paramour, is inching closer to the truth about his crimes. President Walker’s (Michel Gill, ‘The Good Wife’) billionaire confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney, ‘Southland’) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution. And Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis’s once private existence. The Underwood’s must overcome these dangers — past and present — to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake.

‘House of Cards’ season 2 will see the newly added Sam Page (‘Mad Men‘) and Jimmi Simpson (‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘), a series regular promotion for Michael Gill (President Garrett Walker), and the loss of director David Fincher. In Fincher’s absence, Emmy nominee Robin Wright will step behind the camera to helm episodes of the political series, as will ‘Orange Is the New Blackguest director Jodie Foster, Carl Franklin (‘Homeland‘), James Foley (‘Glengarry Glen Ross’) and John David Coles (‘Justified‘).

Keep an eye out for even more ‘House of Cards’ content as the premiere looms, and tell us what you want to see from the next season of Netflix’s Emmy-caliber political thriller!
